We think that KCH is a really fun place to be with great people where there really is a community and family feel. We don’t consider ourselves to be very special; we are just a bunch of ordinary people, young, old, single, married, divorced, families, black, white and all stops in between, and not one of us perfect!
Unlike many churches in the UK where there are usually twice as many women as men* we have almost a 50/50 split, so regardless of your gender, age or race you will fit right in. You don’t have to dress a particular way or be anything you are not. KCH is a place where God meets with imperfect people like me and like you. We believe KCH is a place where anyone can come just as they are without pretence or fear of being judged.
We think church is more than just a meeting on Sunday, although all 300+ people who are KCH do meet together on a Sunday at a local secondary school. On those mornings we have a band, we sing, someone will talk from the bible and often we will pray for people if they would like us to. There are also special things happening for our younger visitors from babies, pre-school, primary and secondary school kids too! Because church is more than just Sundays we also meet together as small groups throughout the week right across Horsham and beyond and we are sure that there will be a group near you, with people just like you to connect with. One thing you won’t be at KCH is left out or lonely!
Church is much more than just a bunch of Christians getting together but is God’s vehicle to affect our local community, the nation and the world and as such we are involved in all sorts of activities from helping the poor and homeless locally here in Horsham as well as in places like Romania. We support financially and with volunteers several organisations locally, nationally and support other church and projects internationally too.
If you are thinking of moving to Horsham, or if you are already living in the area and looking to connect to a church we would love to see you. We can assure you of a warm and unpressured welcome and we are confident there are many friends here you have not met yet!
We are part of Newfrontiers, a growing worldwide family of churches.
We are also part of the Evangelical Alliance which represents one million Christians in the UK from many different denominations.
