Beginning on the first Sunday of October 2010 we began a 42 session study in 1 Corinthians entitled “Untidy Church”. The premise for the study is that as a church we are all “works in progress” in that we are all being made holy and are not there yet. As a result church will be UNTIDY by virtue of the fact that it is full of people like you and me. Even though that is true we need to make sure that that UNTIDINESS does not become UNRULINESS which is much of the problem we read about in Corinthians. The church in Corinth is both the best and worst of churches and thus 1 Corinthians is a treasure of encouragement, rebuke and warning for us as church.
